Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education (SHC&ME) Department, Government of the Punjab, intends to hire services of candidates of following categories and specialties on emergent basis to combat COVID-19 pandemic:
| SPECIALTIES | QUALIFICATION |
| i) Pulmonology ii) Anesthesia iii) Intensive Care/ICU iv) Medicine v) Infectious Diseases |
I. MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognized by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) and the postgraduate qualification of FCPS / MS / FRCS/MRCP / MD/ Diplomat of American Board in the respective specialty or equivalent medical qualification in the respective specialty recognized by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council; OR ii. MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognized by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) and the postgraduate qualification of FCPS/MS/FRCS/MRCP/MO/Diplomat of American Board (General Surgery / Medicine) or any other equivalent medical qualification recognized by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council with three years practical experience In the respective specialty in a recognized institution after post-graduation. |
| MOs / VVMOs | MBBS or equivalent medical qualifications recognized/registered by the PM & DC One year House Job in hospital |
| Molecular Biologist | M.Phll in Molecular Biology or Equivalent from HEC with two year experience preferably in Public Health Lab in discipline of Infectious Diseases Molecular Diagnostics, e1 research 01 Research articles published in HEC approved Ampact factor journals |
| i. Technologist Anesthesia ii. Technologist Pathology iii. Respiratory Therapist |
BS (Hons) Degree second division in the relevant allied health sciences discipline from a recognized university or Institute. |
| Charge Nurses | i) B.Sc, Nursing Generic (Four Years) and valid Registration from Pakistan Nursing Council; OR ii) Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery and valid Registration from Pakistan Nursing Council. |
| i. May Technician ii. Lab Technician |
F.Sc (second division) from a recognized Board one or two years diploma In the relevant discipline of allied health duly recognized by Punjab Medical Faculty. If none is available, then candidates having qualification of Matric (second division) with science from a recognized Board alongwith one or two years diploma in the relevant discipline of allied health duly recognized by Punjab Medical Faculty |
| ECG Technician | F.Sc (second division) from a recognized Board one or two years diploma of Dispenser duly recognized by Punjab Medical Faculty. If none is available, then candidates having qualification of Metric (second division) with science from a recognized Board alongwith one or two years diploma of Dispenser duly recognized by Punjab Medical Faculty |
- The selection for the above mentioned categories will be made through walk-in interviews at the following offices on every Monday from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM during the currency of COVID-19 pandemic. as notified under Section 3 of The Puniab Infectious Diseases (Prevention and Control) Ordinance 2020:

- All candidates will appear before their nearest center as indicated above on the given schedule
- All candidates shall appear for walk-in interviews before the Committee alongwith application. CV, original documents. one set of attested photocopies of documents and two attested passport size photographs.
- The remuneration and other benefits will be disbursed to the hired candidates as per the policy of the Government.
