• Maximum age limit: The maximum age limit should be 65 years, as per the contract appointment rules of Pakistan Railways.
• Eligibility: Only those candidates who have worked on the relevant category for at least 1 year will be eligible for contract appointment.
• Salary: The selected candidates will draw their salary in the BS-16 and BS-11, respectively, according to their last pay drawn along with usual allowances, admissible under the contract appointment rules. However, they will not be entitled for any kind of gratuity or pension.
• Rejection of application: The competent authority has the right to reject any application for contract appointment without assigning any reason, but they must provide a reason in writing if the application is rejected after the interview.
• Change in number of posts: The number of posts can be changed without assigning any reason, but the candidates must be informed of the change in writing.
• Medical fitness: Selected candidates will be required to pass a medical fitness examination from a government hospital. Those who are retired, compulsory removed, dismissed, or retired on medical grounds will not be eligible for appointment.
• Call letter: A call letter will only be issued to the candidates who are eligible for contract appointments.
• No TA/DA: No TA/DA will be paid to candidates called for interview and medical examination.
• Posting: The selected persons will be posted anywhere in the entire railway system, as per the needs of the organization.
