SPECIALIZED HEALTHCARE & MEDICAL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT

Post MINIMUM QUALIFICATION 
PROFESSOR OF ORTHOPAEDIC
SURGERY
a) (i)  MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognized by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) and the   postgraduate qualification of FCPS/MS/FRCS/MRCP/MD/ Diplomat of American Board in the respective specialty or   equivalent medical qualification in the respective specialty recognized by PMDC;
ii) MBBS  and  the  postgraduate  qualification  of  FCPS/MS/FRCS/MRCP/MD/  Diplomat  of  American  Board  (General Surgery/Medicine) or any other equivalent medical qualification recognized by PMDC with three years practical
b) experience in the respective specialty in a recognized institution after post-graduation.
03 years teaching experience as Associate Professor or an equivalent position recognized by the PMDC.
Provided that the total teaching experience as Assistant/Associate Professor is not less than 08 years OR 09 years teaching experience as Assistant Professor in a recognized institution with at least 5 research papers published in a standard medical   journal while working as Assistant/Associate Professor.
PROFESSOR OF PAEDIATRIC CARDIOLOGY (A) (a) MBBS or equivalent qualification recognized by the PMDC;
(b) Registered with PMDC;
(c) The following post-graduate qualification:
 (i)  FCPS / MD / MRCP / Diplomat American Board in relevant speciality or equivalent qualification recognised by  PMDC;   OR
 (ii)  FCPS (Paediatrics) / MD (Paediatrics) / MRCP (Paediatrics) / Diplomat American Board (Paediatrics) or equivalent  qualification recognized by PMDC with one year experience after post graduation in relevant speciality in an  institution recognized by PMDC.
(B) Three years experience as Associate Professor in Paediatric Cardiology provided that the total teaching experience as  Assistant Professor and as Associate Professor in Paediatric Cardiology is not less than eight years in an institution  recognized by PMDC  OR
 Nine years teaching experience as Assistant Professor or Assistant / Associate Professor in Paediatric Cardiology in an  institution recognized by PMDC;  AND
(C) At least five research papers published in a standard medical journal recognized by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council  while working as Assistant /Associate Professor.
PROFESSOR OF ANATOMY MBBS or equivalent medical qualifications recognized by the PMDC and the following post-graduate qualifications in the subject: 
D.Sc, Ph.D, M.D, M.Phil (Pak); or equivalent qualifications recognized by the PMDC.
Credit will be given for original research work published in a standard medical journal and teaching experience in recognized institution.  AND
03 years teaching experience in the subject as Associate Professor or an equivalent position recognized by the Pakistan
Medical  and  Dental  Council  (PMDC)  in  the  basic  specialties  Provided  that  the  total  teaching  experience  as Assistant/Associate Professor is not less than 08 years OR 09 years teaching experience as an Assistant Professor in the subject in recognized institution and at least 5 research papers published in standard medical journal while working as Assistant/Associate Professor.
PROFESSOR OF PAEDIATRIC CARDIAC SURGERY (i)  MBBS or equivalent qualification recognized by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council; and
(ii) postgraduate qualification of FCPS, MS, FRCS, MRCP, MD, Diplomat of American Board or equivalent medical qualification in the respective specialty recognized by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council;
OR
postgraduate qualification of FCPS, MS, FRCS, MRCP, MD, Diplomat of American Board in General Surgery or Medicine or any other equivalent medical qualification recognized by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council and three years’ practical experience after post-graduation in the respective specialty in a recognized institution;
Three years’ experience as Associate Professor of Paediatric Cardiac Surgery or an equivalent position recognized by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council, provided that the total teaching experience as Assistant Professor and Associate Professor is not less than eight years’  or nine years’ as Assistant Professor in the relevant specialty in a recognized
institution AND Five research papers, produced as Assistant Professor or Associate Professor and published in a standard medical journal recognized by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council and evaluated in the prescribed manner..
PROFESSOR OF PAEDIATRIC RADIOLOGY (i)  MBBS recognized by the PMDC;
(ii) Registered with PMDC; and
(iii) The following post-graduate qualification:
(a) FCPS (Pead Radiology), MD (Paed Radiology), MRCP (Paed Radiology), Diplomat American Board in Paediatric
Radiology or equivalent qualification recognized by PMDC;
 OR
(b) FCPS (Radiology), MD (Radiology), or equivalent qualification recognized by PMDC with one year’s experience after post-graduation in Paediatric Radiology from a institution recognized by PMDC.
Three years’ experience as Associate Professor Paediatric Radiology provided that the total teaching experience as Assistant Professor and Associate Professor is not less than eight years in an institution recognized by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council or nine years’ teaching experience as an Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in Paediatric
Radiology in an institution recognized by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council; and
has at least five research papers, produced as Assistant Professor or Associate Professor and published in a standard medical journal recognized by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council.
PROFESSOR OF CHEMICAL PATHOLOGY (i)  MBBS or equivalent qualification recognized by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council;
(ii) Registered with Pakistan Medical & Dental Council; and
(iii) has postgraduate qualification of Ph.D., FCPS, MRC, in Chemical Pathology, Diplomat  American Board, M.Phil or
equivalent qualification in the subject of Chemical Pathology recognized by Pakistan Medical & Dental Council.
has three years’ teaching experience as Associate Professor, provided that the total teaching experience as Assistant Professor and Associate Professor is not less than eight years or nine years’ teaching experience as an Assistant Professor in the relevant subject in an institution recognized by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council; and has at least five research papers, produced as Assistant Professor or Associate Professor and published in a standard medical journal recognized by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council and evaluated in the prescribed manner.
PROFESSOR OF ONCOLOGY MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognized by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) and the postgraduate qualification of FCPS/MS/FRCS/MRCP/MD/ Diplomat of American Board in the respective specialty or equivalent medical qualification in the respective specialty recognized by PMDC;
 OR
MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognized by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) and the postgraduate qualification of FCPS/MS/FRCS/MRCP/MD/ Diplomat of American Board (General Surgery / Medicine) or any other equivalent medical qualification recognized by PMDC with three years practical experience in the respective specialty in a recognized institution after post graduation.
08 years teaching experience as Associate Professor / Assistant Professor (in the speciality) in a recognized institution (03 years as Associate Professor and 05 years as Assistant Professor) OR 09 years teaching experience as Assistant Professor,
in the speciality in a recog. institution with 05 research paper published in a Standard Medical Journal while working as Assistant / Associate Professor, in the speciality.
IMPORTANT NOTE: from Sr. No.216 to Sr. No.222
i) Applicants are directed to provide hard copy of their on-line application form alongwith two photocopy sets of all relevant documents & relevant Research Papers within 03 days after the closing date failing which their applications will be treated as rejected and no further communication will be entertained in this regard.
ii) PMDC Registration should be valid upto the closing date of the advertised post(s). If expired, applying proof for renewal of registration before the closing date is required.
iii) The certificate of recognition of qualification/experience shall only be considered if the same is issued by designated officer of PMDC. Recognition of experience from PMDC is mandatory.
iv) Experience Certificate alongwith appointment letter(s) in respect of Contract, Current Charge, Acting Charge and appointment on Adhoc basis, issued by the Appointing Authority/ Head of Institution/Organization/Department is required.
v) Only those relevant original articles which have been published in book-form on or before the closing date shall be considered. Review articles, case-studies/reports, translations, briefs, papers presented in conferences, editorials, etc. shall not be admissible as published research papers. However, online published research work in a recognized foreign journal shall be accepted.
PROFESSOR OF OPHTHALMOLOGY a) (i) MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognized by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) and the postgraduate qualification of FCPS/MS/FRCS/MRCP/MD/ Diplomat of American Board in the respective specialty or
equivalent medical qualification in the respective specialty recognized by PMDC;
   (ii) OR
MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognized by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) and the  postgraduate qualification of  FCPS/MS/FRCS/MRCP/MD/ Diplomat of American Board (General Surgery/Medicine) or
any other equivalent medical qualification recognized by PMDC with three years practical experience in the respective  specialty in a recognized institution after post-graduation.
b)  03 years teaching experience as Associate Professor or an equivalent position recognized by the PMDC.
 Provided that the total teaching experience as Assistant/Associate Professor is not less than 08 years OR 09 years teaching  experience as Assistant Professor in a recognized institution with at least 5 research papers published in a standard medical  journal while working as Assistant/Associate Professor.
ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR CARDIAC SURGERY a) i) MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognized by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) and the  Postgraduate Qualification of FCPS / MS / FRCS / MRCP / MD / Diplomat of American Board in the respective specialty  or equivalent medical qualification in the respective specialty recognized by PMDC;
 OR
 ii)
MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognized by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) and the Postgraduate Qualification of FCPS/ MS / FRCS /MRCP /MD / Diplomat of American Board (General Surgery / Medicine) or any other equivalent medical qualification recognized by PMDC with three years Practical Experience in
  the respective specialty in a recognized institution after post graduation.
b)  05 years teaching experience in the specialty in a recognized institution as Assistant Professor or equivalent position recognized by PMDC with at least 3 research papers published in a standard medical journal.
IMPORTANT NOTE: from Sr. No.223 to Sr. No.224
i) In case of non-availability of suitable women candidate, the said post shall be treated as non-reserved and will be filled on merit as notified by the Government of the Punjab vide Notification No. SOR-IV(S&GAD)15-1/2012 dated 21-05-2012.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS (WRITTEN TEST/INTERVIEW)

1. To appear in test/interview only Original Valid CNIC issued by NADRA will be accepted. No other Identification document will be acceptable.
2. Applicants are advised to read all terms and conditions/ instructions of the Advertisement as well as “Important/General Instructions to Candidates” given on PPSC website carefully in order to submit their Online Applications complete in all
respects. The onus/ responsibility of correctness of the data given in the On-line Application Form will rest squarely on the candidates.

3. Applicants are required to submit “On-line Application Form” by the Closing Date which is 13-08-2020 up to 12:00 AM (Midnight). Applicants should fill in the On-line Application Form carefully in the light of the Guidelines and Instructions mentioned in the Advertisement for the said post and “Important/General Instructions to Candidates”.
4. Editing options, to correct any data in the On-line Application Form, will be available to the candidates till the Closing Date of submission of Online Applications.

5. Negative marking shall be done and 0.25 mark shall be deducted for each incorrect answer in all Objective (MCQ) papers.

6. For all posts to be filled through written test followed by interview or interview alone, the number of chances shall be restricted

to three. However, if a candidate qualifies the interview but cannot be recommended for appointment due to shortage of vacancies, his chance shall not be considered as availed whereas chance of a candidate who does not qualify the written test or interview shall be considered as availed. For the post of Lecturer in Education Department, a candidate who is applicant for more than one subject, shall be allowed three chances in each subject for which he/she is a candidate in accordance with
above laid down policy.

7. In case, a candidate claims experience of private firm / entity, he / she must bring proof at the time of interview that the firm / entity is registered with SECP, Registrar of Firms or any other Regulatory Authority, failing which his / her application shall be rejected.

8. The candidates will ensure that after applying for a particular post they will immediately apply for Departmental Permission Certificate/NOC in their concerned Department(s) and provide the Departmental Permission Certificate/NOC at the time of interview (if called).

9. The candidates just after applying for a particular post advertised by PPSC will ensure that they have obtained/applied for registration in PEC/PNC/PMDC/PVMC or other relevant body for Registration Certificate before the Closing Date and provide the same at the time of interview (if called).

10. The candidates will ensure that they will provide marks obtained / total marks or percentage certificate of all degrees at the time of interview. CGPA is not acceptable.

11. It is mandatory for Applicants to deposit Rs.600/- under Head:“C02101- ORGANIZATIONS OF STATE-TEST FEE REALIZED BY THE PUNJAB PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION”, in any Branch of State Bank of Pakistan or National Bank of Pakistan or Government Treasury on or before the Closing Date of submission of applications

• In case, the requisition of any post is withdrawn by the Administrative Department after receipt of applications by the Commission, the candidates of that particular post can use Paid Treasury Challan of the withdrawn post against any other post (Once), advertised by the Commission within the next One Year.
• Special Persons are not required to deposit application fee.

• Applicants residing outside Pakistan, but having Domicile of the Punjab will deposit the fee at the Pakistani Embassy of residing country in the currency of that country equivalent to the amount of Application/ Test Fee prescribed for the post.

• No Bank Draft or Pay Order or Cheque or any such instrument will be accepted as fee by the Commission.
